The Doctor's Madhouse Vs. Darkseid's Horsemen of Apokolips

Welcome to The Playoff Planet.  A sad, macabre, war torn place constantly in a state of fear and rebuild.  Today we examine two American League rival Powerhouses prepped for battle for dominance in what most would agree is the more difficult league to excel at.  Both teams with dreams of the playoffs in sight take the myriad stages that this setting presents.  

Today we begin in the watery depths of The Playoff Planet's only ocean.  So dark are the waters of the deep that only a Watcher as skilled as I can see the action clearly.  Four Seaworms total surround the reef where the skirmish begins.  Three for Madhouse, accompanied by Kit Fisto and Ocean Master and one for The Horsemen led by Poseidon with Qwsp.  Wet sands and sediment cloud about the horizon as the seaworms become bloodlusted, diving into the ocean floor as their genetic instinct to take cover in the dunes is revealed.  Seaworm #10 in his last FFL appearance swallows Ocean Master whole before he is taken out by the resurrected version of his former Tlielaxlu tank brother Seaworm #1A, who rips through the side of the creature with its razor sharp teeth; right after #10 had done the same to #3A.  Qwsp then vanishes the largest of the Seaworms #1A into the 5th Dimension, before meeting with the business end of Master Fisto's waterproof lightsaber.  Fisto then engages in an underwater fencing match, dueling with the trident of the god of the Sea.  Kit moves gracefully through the water, but said grace cannot match that of Poseidon's who drives his trident deep into the chest of the Nautolan Jedi Master.  Poseidon then turns to the last remaining seaworm, whom he vaporizes into the water consuming all the spice for himself.  Poseidon decides to revel in the moment for a while as this new terrestrial power mixes with his own.  His eyes begin to turn blue within blue as he enjoys a feeling of indulgence unmatched even by the finest ambrosia of The Elysian Fields.  

Next we move as far from the ocean depths as this map allows into the region beyond the atmosphere and firmament into space.  Here we will find some of the heaviest hitters from both The Madhouse and The Horsemen; but not Darkseid himself.  For the Lord of Apokolips resides in an undisclosed location where he and Ras Al Ghul are plotting out the master plan they are attempting to execute to defeat The Madhouse.  They know full well that they are going up against the planning schemes of Batman himself and are even acknowledging among themselves that they wish this battle would not have taken place in Week 5, as the last thing they wanted was Batman having another week of prep time.  But here among the stars is where we will refocus this tale.  Dr. Manhattan, Silver Surfer, Ursa, The Vampire Yellow Lantern, and Abeloth surround the enormous sentient city known as Ranx, while they are all flanked by The Javelin and Vader's Shuttle.  Their orders coming directly from the cockpit of the Batman designed Javelin.  The Horsemen are surrounding their Heavy Star Cruiser taking orders from the military genius Grand Admiral Thrawn and his expert crew.  The other space bound Horsemen are Ultron, Zombie Superboy, Orion, and The Eradicator.  They too are flanked by two starships being piloted by Wedge and Biggs.  Zombie Superboy floats about looking for brains to eat.  He may not be actually alive, nor was he actually a Kryptonian when he was; but nonetheless he still is capable of amazing feats of strength and durability.  But once faced with the military intelligence of Ursa and the powers of a true Kryptonian, the zombified Conner Kent falls short.  Ursa weakens the decaying flesh of the neck of Zombie Superboy from afar and then zooms in to relieve the Zombie of his head with her bare hands.  Lord Vader is not exactly a fan of Batman's plan; but despite his own history of military leadership, he also is a great soldier.  The Dark Lord of the Sith has never been a proponent of suicide missions and he doesn't see how this is anything but.  The Javelin leads the way and Vader follows until they break off once they are within striking distance of The Heavy Star Cruiser.  Vader sets the course of his Imperial Shuttle directly for the large, single shield generator of the command ship knowing that the two Madhouse ships do not have enough firepower to take out the large ship with conventional methods.  Darth Vader's Shuttle crashes directly into the shield generator disabling the shields completely, while The Javelin goes into a daring spin maneuver before hitting the cruiser with every bit of firepower in a point blank strafing run of the Cruiser.  Admiral Thrawn himself, knowing that the shieldless command ship cannot possibly withstand the firepower of The Javelin takes control of the ventral gun to target The Javelin and blow it to pieces before The Heavy Star Cruiser comes apart in the Playoff Planet atmosphere.  Darth Vader, witnessing these disastrous explosions from his Shuttle's escape pod cannot help but acknowledge the fact that Bruce Wayne's plan worked as he safely floats back down to The Planet.  Abeloth having powers that exceed any Jedi ever to live, knowing that the ability to destroy a planet is nothing next to the power of The Force and that The Force is the ultimate power in the universe is not above being surprised.  And surprised is what she is as Orion races in at the speed of light powered by both his astro-harness and his Mother Box to blast through the center of The Mother of Mortis and begin the search for his next combatant.  The Silver Surfer zooms through the star-laden backdrop while his partner The Vampire Yellow Lantern tries to keep up.  They are met by Ultron, who with a single tap of his Power Stone blasts through the yellow aura of the vamp and takes his head clean off.  The Surfer quickly maneuvers around Ultron and uses the power cosmic emanating from his hands to blast Ultron in the elbow separating his body from the Gauntlet.  He then flies in fast hitting Ultron backwards with his board and then ripping the robot in two (for those of you reading this, who do not think Silver Surfer can ratio Ultron or the Gauntlet, I implore you to stop watching movies and TV shows about comic books and actually read some comic books (and not that new, libtard, woke crap; but the actual stories that created and defined these characters (this has been my Ted Talk))).  And speaking of ratios the league won't like; The Eradicator has freeze breathed Dr. Manhattan to force him into a state of solidity, and then took advantage of said state by punching him into several dozen pieces.  Wedge and Biggs are flying gracefully around Ranx, successfully dodging his counter measures but are also having trouble doing any real damage to the massive yellow lantern.  The Eradicator and Orion show up to tip the scales against the Qwardian City State, but not soon after that, Silver Surfer and Ursa show up to lend Ranx a hand.  Cosmic power, lantern energy, proton torpedos, and good old fashioned haymakers abound in this knock down, drag em out space battle finale.  Ranx, after being bombarded by every imaginable burst of violence serves as a living reminder that the power of a lantern ring is finite.  After the yellow aura of Ranx deflects an incalculable amount of energy the massive ring is eventually brought to 0% and Ranx is destroyed, also drained of energy in this attack is Orion, whose accelerated healing factor could no longer keep up.  Biggs Darklighter in his highly maneuverable B-Wing bravely gave his life as well in a final strafing run.  The weakened Eradicator falls to Ursa, as does the  torpedo exhausted Wedge to a cosmic blast from The Silver Surfer.  The two Madhouse members then begin their journey back to the surface with no knowledge of what battle awaits them next.  

Deep in the desert resides only two combatants.  One from each team, slowly approach each other.  Trygon, whose simple presence makes this insanely hot desert even hotter moves towards The Original Mutant Apocalypse.  Trygon unleashes his power intent on sending his opponent to Hell; but Apocalypse, who uses his mutant abilities disguised as Egyptian Mysticism holds back nothing to insure that he does not make the trip to The Duat alone.  

These squads have not created much of a presence at all in the large forest and jungle areas of The Playoff Planet; but there is another place, unknown to even me that a few combatants reside.  In all my years and dozens of matches Watched I have never been made aware of the deep, hidden, abandoned city residing beyond a heavily overgrown area beyond the forest and jungle areas of the Playoff Planet.  An ancient city, lost to time with an old world, Tartarian sense of hidden history and organic power contained in the several stone castles melted into the very fabric of the landscape.  Two of those ancient castles are being inhabited by a few key members of leadership representing each squad.  The landscape between the two castles, containing what was once just the very tops of other ancient castles, now flooded over by mud is where these two Sub-Squads will square off.  Darkseid with Ras Al Ghul by his side have been orchestrating the plan of The Horsemen and they send out the henchman of Apokolips to begin the battle.  Kalibak, Desaad, and The Female Furies move first against Brainiac's deep cover rural peeps who are Voldemort, Scarecrow, and Spider-Man India.  Voldemort, whose own immense magical powers have been perfectly paired with that of his Yellow Lantern Ring is a force of his own; but his power is even greater with the proximity of his newest Death Eater Scarecrow who has joined forces with his fellow newly made yellow lantern with a worshipful following.  The two of them combine yellow blasts to take out Lashina before the skirmish officially begins.  Brainiac moves swiftly to dodge the violent attacks from Mad Harriet using his 12th level intellect to know her moves before she even realizes them.  A perfectly placed chop to the temple ends The Fury.  The intelligence of Brainiac does not keep him from having his smart head, knocked right off of his smart neck by a wicked upper cut from Kalibak that would even make President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho proud.  Desaad is attacked by a blast from Scarecrow next; but he absorbs the energy and redirects it towards Spider-Man India to take him out.  It is uncertain if it be because Voldemort is harnessing the yellow energy better or if the New god was simply taken off guard; but the blast from The Dark Lord was more than the master torturer could handle.  Voldemort and Scarecrow fly in fast to move against the remaining two Female Furies next and take out Bloody Mary and Stompa initially before Voldemort used Fiendfyre to take out their leader Granny Goodness.  This destruction of their allies causes Darkseid and Ras to join the fight directly as only Kalibak still survived from Darkseid's group of henchmen.  Ras moves swiftly, dodging initial attacks from Scarecrow and is able to deliver both of his white lightsabers through the chest of the man who once worked with him to fight their arch-enemy Batman.  Voldemort uses Crucio to bring Kalibak to his knees and then Confringo to finish him; but underestimates the power of The Lord of Apokolips as he attempts to block Darkseid's Omega Beams and falls victim to their power.  Darkseid and Ras glance at each other and know that they must head to the main city of The Playoff Planet to rendezvous with the rest of The Horsemen.  

We now find ourselves in the primary city at the center of The Playoff Planet.  Here we will find the remaining members of both squads ready to square off in the city streets.  Both teams await the arrival of a trio of powerful reinforcements who have managed to survive the skirmishes of the other areas.  The Horsemen have seemingly taken the streets with a show of raw force, with He-Man atop his steed Battle Cat, Talia Al Ghul inside her Landmaster, Poo on his motorcycle, and Dr. Jones with his two new "shortrounds" Ness and Paula rolling three deep in the front seat of T-Rex patrol the area.  Jeff, Amazo, Agent Smith, and Mongul patrol the skies.  Cartmen is cleaning out a local restaurant, but all Horsemen are prepared for the inevitable attack from The Madhouse who are hidden away biding their time.  In the basement of an old bar, The Madhouse command center is deliberating the final steps of their master plan.  

"What's our final move Bruce"??  Duncan Idaho asks of their unofficial leader.

Batman answers:  "Well, we need to take advantage of what The Horsemen do not know.  Mainly, the fact that they think I am dead and that the rest of you are moving forward without an official plan.  They think I was flying The Javelin and have no idea that Robin and I never even left the planet".  

Damien Wayne, unaware of the specifics asks after the proverbially dropping of his jaw:  "Wait a second......  That means Alfred is......."??

"Yes Damien, Alfred is gone.  His bravery in piloting The Javelin and taking out The Horsemen Command Ship will never be forgotten.  It had to be done.  He was the only man qualified to make that flight".  Batman responds.  

"Soldiers often die in war Young One.  Pennyworth was a good man, but he won't be the last casualty we see this day".  Black Adam adds.  

"We do not have time for sorrows, nor do we have time for idol chit chat.  We all have our orders and we need to carry them out.  If we are going to attempt a counter-offensive, the time is now".  Says Duncan the Madhouse Swordmaster.    

As The Madhouse begins to emerge from the hidden tunnel leading to their subterranean hideout, the leader of The Horsemen Darkseid himself, along with Ras Al' Ghul make their way to the city battle, while Poseidon meets up with them as well after finally emerging from the sea.  Although Batman's crew is not with some reinforcements as well once Silver Surfer, Ursa, and Vader find their way back from space.  

Poseidon taunts the duo of Ursa and Silver Surfer from the ground, while Jeff lends him some air support in his F-5.  Jeff shows off some fantastic dog-fighting skills; but his military jet is unable to produce anything able to stop the Kryptonian or the former Herald of Galactus.  Jeff is eventually taken out by a cosmic blast to the wing from The Surfer.  Poseidon, trident in hand, senses accelerated by his spice consumption fights valiantly against both The Surfer and Ursa.  Fending off their initial attacks Poseidon is able to match their strength and skill but eventually succumbs to the combination of the power cosmic and a brutal burst of heat vision.  Eric Cartman drops his Philly steak and joins up with Mongul who is surrounded by numerous Spider-Men.  Spider-Punk leads the way but fails to respect Eric's AUTHORITiii.  He falls to a rocket blast from the Hulk-Buster Ironman Suit, while Cartman goes ham and stomps Spider-Byte as well.  Spider Noir, Miles, Gwen, and Peni can't afford to help out their friends at the moment as they are focusing everything they have on the yellow energy powered Mongul.  Although no single member of the spidey crew can match Mongul's power, they fight as a unit and keep him on his toes.  They barrage him with attacks and attempt to focus their combined webbing around the throat of Mongul to choke him out.  Mongul hits Peni Parker with his chest mounted cannon to blow her to pieces and then grabs Miles by the throat to break his neck.  It is Spider Noir who makes the sacrifice play though as he hits Mongul with his organic webbing in the eyes to open them wide and then pulls out his .45 ACP to pump a full mag of bullets into his brain with perfectly aimed shots at point blank range.  Mongul uses his last bit of strength to uppercut Spider Noir cracking his skull.  Spider Gwen runs to Noir; but is caught with an enormous detachable fist from Cartman's suit; all while Cartman notices that his suit has been cracked from a large hammer being wielded by Spider-Ham.  The now suitless Cartman grabs the bacon based character known as Spider-Ham, eating him in record time.  The fat child after his indulgence then farts himself to a joyful death.

Ras Al Ghul approaches his grandson Damien Wayne in the hopes of converting him back to the side of he and his mother Talia.  

"Come back to your mother and I my boy.  Don't be another sidekick pawn for The Batman.  He will never treat you like anything more than a boy in his charge.  I can give you troops to command.  I can make you a man".  Ghul says calmly.  

Damien approaches Ras as if to embrace; but reveals that he is not only loyal to his team and their cause; but he is every bit the killer that Ras and Talia made him out to be, as he draws his sword and takes the head of his grandfather with a single swipe.  

Black Adam and his crew Osiris and Isis move towards He-Man at the center of town square; but Darkseid shows up to aid his muscle bound team member.  Black Adam kills Battle Cat with a bolt of power which knocks He-Man off of his feline steed, while his sidekicks move together against Darkseid.  He-Man gets to his feet and makes Black Adam regret his decision of killing the pet of the Eternian Prince.  The two of them grasp each other in a test of strength and Black Adam is amazed that he is most certainly on the losing end of the power struggle.  He-Man gets Black Adam in a choke hold and then lifts him up over his head throwing him to the ground and then stomping him into the ground, finishing him with his battle axe.  As Black Adam lay there taking his final breaths, he glances over to see the bodies of Isis and Osiris whom Darkseid has made short work of.  

Talia is speeding through the streets in her Landmaster, when she hits a landmine planted by Batman.  She leaps from the vehicle before the explosion, when Batman and Duncan Idaho come out of the shadows.  Amazo swoops in from the North to lend aid, while Indiana Jones and his buddies come rolling in with a diesel roar in T-Rex.  Talia and Batman go toe to toe, with Batman not holding back anything against the mother of his son Damien.  Her hand to hand skills almost match his but she is met with a batarang to the throat to take her out of commission.  Amazo moves towards Duncan thinking he is merely a normal man from his own era.  But the android is "Amazo"ed by the speed of Duncan.  He knocks Amazo to the ground and then finishes him with the weirding ways of the ancestral Atreides.  Idaho can see many things at once and despite being seemingly busy dealing with Amazo, he draws his sword and relieves Poo of his head as he rides in swiftly on his motorcycle.  Batman and Duncan then swoop into the bed of T-Rex and a battle commences between Dr. Jones and Paula, while Ness drives.  Henry Jr. uses his Holtsman Shield well in conjunction with his whip and; but when it comes to personal shield fighting and hand to hand combat, he is up against some serious experts.  The slow blade and Batarang penetrate the shield to take out Indiana and Paula shortly after that.  Batman then drops several small explosives from his utility belt into the back of the truck as he and Duncan both leap to safety.  

Darth Vader has positioned himself atop a skyscraper, while Black Lantern Agent Smith has swooped down from the skies to pick a fight with The Dark Lord.  They engage in a pitched battle that lasts nearly an hour.  Amazing moves, speed, and reflexes are displayed as the two fighters go at it.  Although it is proven that chosen ones are in fact the one bug-a-boo of Agent Smith as Lord Vader uses his mastery of both the light and dark sides of The Force to dissipate the black lantern power of Smith and his crimson lightsaber to run him through.  

The final skirmish of this battle will be fought at the open park in the center of the capitol city.  Batman and his teammates hope to have the upper hand as they know that they have more team members alive than The Horsemen; but their hopes are taken down a notch when they arrive at center square to see the area turned into a scorched pile of rubble after an intense fight which they arrived at the tail end of.  He-Man and Darkseid are found bruised and dirty by The Madhouse; but when Batman and his crew got there it was just in time to see He-Man choking the last bit of life out of The Silver Surfer and Darkseid doing the same to Ursa.  

Batman orders Damien to take a scouting position in a nearby government building where he will be needed soon for a special mission.  He at first objects; but other teammates chime in.  

"I assure you Robin, you are not being sidelined, we need you to execute the final part of this plan".  Says Batman.

"It's imperative that we as soldiers follow the battle strategy, even if it means you make a sacrifice play.  Just like Alfred did".  Adds Duncan.  

Robin reluctantly agrees and runs to the building to scout out the final stage of the battle while the trio of Batman, Idaho, and Vader move towards the final two Horsemen.  

Vader turns to Bruce and says:  "As the true Dark Knight here, I must question your plan General Wayne.  I don't see how you end up surviving this offensive".  

"Me surviving this was never part of the plan Darth".  Batman says in reply.  

Vader nods his helmeted head and speaks sternly:  "I have fought in many battle since I was but a boy.  I have seen many soldiers fall both around me and by my hand.  But one thing I have never had the chance to do was be a father.  I will follow you General Wayne".

With these final words between the remaining Madhouse Trio, they rush the scene, Vader leading the way.  The former Jedi Council Member turned Sith Lord channels The Force in a way he has never done before and focuses on the biggest skyscraper in the city.  Lifting it up from the ground, breaking the very foundation of the building as if it were placed there with plastic.  Vader, his physical suit actually bursting from the tremendous show of power, brings the skyscraper back down to the ground driving it down below the original subway track of the city on top of He-Man.  Batman, to distract Darkseid runs directly at The King of Apokolips to engage him in a hand to hand fight that he knows he cannot possibly win.  Darkseid throws an enormous chunk of debris at the damaged Darth Vader who flings his crimson lightsaber into the air before his suit and life support system are broken apart by the blunt force of the attack.  Darkseid then aims his Omega Beams at Duncan Idaho while grabbing a hold of Bruce Wayne and laughing as he breaks his fragile human body in two.  Duncan moves with a speed and awareness that is only achievable by The Kwisatz Haderach.  He grabs the red lightsaber of Vader out of the air and moves in at a break neck pace to use the kyber crystal powered rapier to cut the head from the body of Darkseid less than a second before the Omega Beam blasts the Ginaz Sworsdman apart.  

 A few hours later, the boy known as Damien after receiving no orders leaves his post to enter the city finding that he is the only man left alive.
