George Lucas Conference Final: Chapter XVIII

Adam Warlock flies with Zombie Supergirl, Blue/Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Ganthet across the darkening sky.  They are met by White Lantern Sinestro, Scar, Black Bolt and Annihilus.  Annihilus reacts first and uses his Cosmic Control rod against Zombie Supergirl.  The undead Kryptonian’s left leg is decimated, but she continues to fly without it since there is no blood loss or death for the undead.  Black Bolt then focuses on the already damaged Zombie Supergirl.

Black Bolt:  No.

The voice of Black Bolt unleashes an immeasurable wave of destruction, which Zombie Supergirl lays directly in its path.  Zombie Supergirl is shredded apart and destroyed.

Knowing that Black Bolt is the superior warrior within this battle, Adam Warlock immediately uses his quantum magic to teleport behind the Inhuman.  Just as Black Bolt turns around and is about to unleash another word, Warlock calls upon a wormhole which engulfs Black Bolt.  Black Bolt is sucked into the hole and fades into nothingness as he is unwillingly removed from the match. 

Scar unleashes black energy through her vomit, striking Ganthet, who fails to fully protect himself through the use of his green lantern ring.    Blue/Green Lantern Jordan then uses his white lantern ring to strike Scar, hurling her across the sky.  While focused on Scar’s battle with Jordan, Ganthet is not able to avoid being killed as Annihilus again uses his Cosmic Control rod to manipulate the molecular matter around Ganthet, destroying the Guardian.  Jordan knocks the rod from the hands of Annihilus and Warlock kills Annihilus with a blast of cosmic energy which Annihilus’ armor cannot defend against. 

The combined cosmic abilities and ring powers of both Jordan and Warlock eventually destroy the evil Guardian, Scar.   As the battle is about to finish, White Lantern Sinestro focuses on his nemesis, Hal Jordan.

Sinestro:  You may have a more powerful use of the spectrum right now Jordan, but remember, it is I who was able to control it at first.

Warlock:  And now it will be your last. . .

Warlock unleashes a huge cosmic wave intended for Sinestro.   Sinestro miraculously redirects the blast at Jordan who is unaware and not truly protected against it.  Jordan is engulfed and killed by his own teammate. 

Warlock becomes enraged at his own stupidity for killing Jordan and uses all of his cosmic and quantum magical abilities to finish off Sinestro.

A wearied and disgruntled Adam Warlock flies from the scene.
