Infuriated by the lack of damage caused by his powers,
Warlock calls upon the limits of his being and bombards Vulcan with a chaotic
cosmic crescendo. Once again, Vulcan
deflects the immense onslaught, but this time focused at Magneto, shredding his
metallic shield apart and knocking the Master of Magnetism down. Given the opening, Vulcan begins to quickly siphon
the powers of Warlock and combines them with his own to strike at a weakened
Magneto. Vulcan accomplishes an almost
impossible feat by destroying Magneto through the use of his newly combined
powers.
Nonetheless, using these heightened powers to kill Magneto
also had a cost of weakening Vulcan. A
lessened, but still extremely powerful Adam Warlock sacrifices himself by
overloading his powers. He knows that even
if he dies, a cocoon will revive him at a later time. Thus, Adam Warlock destroys both himself and
Vulcan.
