Week Nine Standings

Josh the Commish said...: For a quick breakdown: The American League East is still undecided between TEAM and The Horsemen. If the Horsemen win this week, then they win the conference. The last American league play-off spot is still between Team Fred, The Outsiders, and The Untouchables. In The National Leaugue Hannah and Barack's Commandos have clinched The Northern Conference, and George Washington's Slaves and Le' Napoleon Brigade have clinched the play-offs but both still have a chance at winning the conference. The Legion of Doom was statistically eliminated from the play-offs this week, which means that the winner of The Better Than All of You Vs. The Right Wing Week 10 match-up will get the last spot in the Play-offs. Unless there are 3 teams coming out of a conference, you will not play a team from your conference in the first round.; April 29, 2008 at 9:16 PM
Josh the Commish said...: It is also worth noting that the fate of The Horsemen, George Washington's Slaves and Team Fred are all in there own hands. If they win this week than they will have the respective conference or play-off spot that they are fighting for. The other teams battling for those spots require not only a win on their own part but also a loss from the team that they are competing with.; April 29, 2008 at 9:27 PM
TEAM said...: How exactly are tie-breakers determined? Also, how are playoff seedings determined? If three teams from a conference make the playoffs (which is a real possibility) then two teams from one conference are playing each other, unless you seed the AL & NL together.; April 30, 2008 at 10:48 AM

Uniqua: Maybe if you pr*cks spent some time not only reading your stupid, f*cking comic books, but watching some television besides your sh*tty sci-fi, geek-fest shows, you'd know about our characters and what we can do? Have any of you f*cks seen "Samauri Pie". . . "Mighty Knights". . . "Snow Fort"? ? ? Think not. . . you b*tches!

Pablo, Austin, Tyrone, Uniqua and Tasha [collectively]: We are sorry that we slandered both the Commish and Vice, whom we believe are doing a MAGNIFICENT job this year! We THANK YOU for all the time spent and well-thought out battles!

Vader: That is much better. . . I believe with that said, the press conference is now officially over.

[Vader follows the entire Backyardigan clan out of the conference room. . . Pablo peeks back in (like a Backyardigan does at show's end)

Yes, we are fully aware of what these said animals are capable of doing. However, the Backyardigans are preschoolers. They have not yet grown into their abilities. This is why in the wild; the adult animals have to protect their children. So chances are in battles as vicious and bloody as this season's were, children would probably be killed just that quickly.

We are just reporters. We only document what we see happen. It's a shame that the children on B3 are not guarded more carefully.; April 30, 2008 at 2:09 PM

Josh the Commish said...: To answer Team's questions: Tie-breakers are determined first by head to head match-ups. In the case of the Team/Horsemen situation since they both beat each other once (this can only happen in a "rival" situation) the edge is given to the team that won in the higher point week (in this case The Horsemen of Apokoplips). If 3 teams from 1 conference all make the play-offs then the winner of that respective conference will play the weakest team of the 3, and the winner of the conference that is only sending its winning team would play the middle ranked team from the other conference. The AL & NL will not play each other until the finals.; April 30, 2008 at 5:27 PM
