The skies of the Playoff Planet instantly burst with an array of vibrant colors as these two formidable teams arrive to square off in the ever important battle. Both squads have sent multiple Lantern wielders into this contest. Streaks of green, yellow, red, indigo, blue, violet, and even a little orange light up the atmosphere as Earth Two Superman leads the charge against the Evil Midgets. But he is knocked off course and into a nearby thatch of trees by Space Ghost. Superman shakes the stars from his eyes and flies right back at Space Ghost, landing a vicious right cross that sends Space Ghost reeling. Superman flies in after him as Space Ghost tries fire an energy bolt from his power bands, but Superman dodges the attack and rips one of the power bands off of Space Ghost’s wrist. Space Ghost then uses his belt to turn invisible, which allows him the opportunity to teleport away and remount and offensive. Earth Two Superman, however, uses his super hearing and was able to hear exactly where Space Ghost teleported to and flies after him. Space Ghost his tackled to the ground by Superman and has his belt and other power band ripped from his body. Superman then uses his heat vision to lobotomize and ultimately kill Space Ghost.

Out in the streets of the city, the trio of Usagi Yojimbo, Space Usagi and Jotaro find themselves surrounded by the massive Cymeks, Xerxes and Dante. The samurai rabbits quickly dodge the first attack by the large robots and duck into an alley. They race into a building and scurry up the stairs to the roof, where they hope to gain some sort of tactical advantage over the Cymeks. But this is to no avail, as Dante takes aim and blasts the building away. Jotaro and Space Usagi are both killed by the blast. Usagi Yojimbo in a leap of faith lunges off of the falling building and land directly on top of Xerxes, he draws his katana and drives it deep into the brain of the massive robot. Xerxes drops to the ground as Usagi flips off of him. Knowing that this is a battle he cannot win, the samurai rabbit the looks up at Dante, with sword drawn defiantly, and awaits his utter annihilation. Dante locks his weapons onto Usagi, but then is stopped in his tracks. Bolts and jagged pieces of metal whip through the air as Dante’s body is violently ripped apart. Usagi takes cover from all of the flying shrapnel. He peaks over the car he’s ducked behind to see Magneto floating in the air where Dante once was. “Thank you Eric-san,” a grateful Usagi says to his teammate. Magneto does not respond with words, but just a simple nod as he flies away.

A large Cybertronian Spaceship flies over the city as Movie Devastator wreaks havoc throughout the downtown area. Optimus Prime pilots the spaceship as the Colonial Marines, Alice Cullen, Claire Danes, Mrs. Doubtfire, Rick Deckard, and Lady Gaga all prepare to jump into action. “Hey where’s Jen?” asks Claire Danes. She hears some faint noises coming from the rear of the spaceship and goes to check it out. “Holy s#*!, what are you doing?!?” Claire screams as she sees Black Lantern Dozer #1 eating the heart of his own teammate, Jen Linley. Several of the Colonial Marines race back to Claire and see this disgusting scene as well, but there are more pressing matters afoot. “Nevermind that, take a look out the window!” shouts Hudson. “Yo Optimus, we’ve got incoming!” Thundercracker, Skywarp and Green Lantern #3 (who has created a F-15 construct out of green energy) are all flying in formation right on the tail of the Cybertronian Spaceship. Thundercracker and the Green Lantern fire on the spaceship as Skywarp teleports. Optimus is trying to evade the attack, but Skywarp teleports in front of the Spaceship and the three jets cause major damage to the spaceship. Thundercracker blows a whole in the side of the spaceship, which causes Lady Gaga and Claire Danes both to be sucked out and plummet to their deaths. Black Lantern Dozer #1 flies out of the hole and attempts to attack Green Lantern #3, but is blasted out of the sky by Thundercracker for his troubles.

Optimus is able to land the spaceship out in the snowy hills outside of the city as the jets continue their pursuit. The Colonial Marines are the first out of the spaceship as the three jets fly in. Vasquez and Drake immediately begin firing on Green Lantern #3 as Thundercracker and Skywarp transform and double team Optimus Prime. Green Lantern #3 abandons his F-15 construct and puts up a green energy shield. He manages to take out Pvt. Drake and Pvt. Frost, but Vasquez will not let up her assault and breaks through the green energy shield and kills the Green Lantern. Thundercracker and Skywarp attack Optimus from both sides, but Optimus grabs a hold of Thundercracker and uses his own arm-mounted gun on Skywarp and blasts a hole right though his chest. Optimus then extends his energy sword and drives it through Thundercracker back. “Alright Commandos, let’s get back to the rest of our team,” Optimus says as he transforms into his truck mode. The rest of the spaceship passengers load into Optimus’s trailer as he drives off towards the city.

The magic duo of Harry Potter and Willow Rosenberg find themselves deep in the forest area of the planet and are attacked by Jan, Jace and Blip the monkey. Willow quickly cast a spell and destroys Blip as Harry takes on Jan and Jace. Though he’s out numbered, Harry has no problem eliminating the two from battle. “Well that was easy,” Harry says to Willow. “Hee hee hee. Boy you guys really did a number on those kids,” Mr. Mxyzptlk says to the duo as he floats in the air. Willow and Harry both fire magical blasts at the Imp, but he easily blocks them, yawning the whole while. “Please, you can do better than that,” he says. They then combine their magical powers and try and blast him again, but he blocks them once more. Mr. Mxyzptlk then uses his vast 5th Dimension powers and wipes them from existence. “Hmmm, I guess they couldn’t do better. Ha!” Mxy says to himself. He then hears what appears to be the sound of two lightsabers igniting behind him. “Huh? What was tha…” he says as he turns around, only to find his head removed from his body courtesy of General Grievous. “Crap,’ Mxyzptlk says as his head rolls on the ground.

High above the planet, a war of Lanterns rages on, which continues to light up the night sky. Sayd, Katma Tui, Ch’p, and Salaak are trying to fend off the team of Dex-Tar, Karu-Sil, Taa, Fatality, Movie Jetfire (with an Indigo ring), and Tlaloc (with a Red ring). Sayd uses her amazing powers as a Guardian of the Universe and destroys both Tlaloc and Movie Jetfire as if they were insects. Salaak then moves against Karu-Sil and her yellow energy attack dogs. The trio of dogs lunges at Salaak, but he quickly creates green energy muzzle for all of them. Katma Tui then attacks Karu-Sil to aid Salaak. Ch’p is being chased through the sky by a red energy vomiting Dex-Tar. Ch’p tries valiantly to keep the Red Lantern cat away from him, but Dex-Tar manages to get a hold of the chipmunk-like Green Lantern and shreds him limb from limb. Fatality and Taa try to combine their energies against Sayd, but the female Oa Guardian is way too powerful for them and they fall before her cosmic abilities. Salaak and Katma Tui the finish off Karu-Sil with a green energy double tap to the chest. The yellow energy attack dogs dissipate into the air as Karu-Sil dies. Dex-Tar then finds himself facing off against two Green Lanterns and an Oa Guardian. The rage filled kitty spews his red energy at the Lanterns but the combined forces of the three of them is too much for Dex-Tar to handle and is eliminated.

Back down in the city, Movie Devastator continues his path of destruction though out the streets. Dr. U’bx, Gwildore, Duke the Dog and Carla Tortelli have all been crushed by the falling debris caused by Movie Devastator. Omega Supreme finally flies in to put an end to Movie Devastator’s rampage. Omega fires several shots at Movie Devastator, stunning the monstrous Decepticon. Omega then grabs a hold of Movie Devastator’s lower jaw and jams his gun-hand into his mouth and blows a hole right out the back of Movie Devastator’s head. Earth Two Superman flies in and begins punching his way through Omega Supreme’s chest. Once inside he uses his heat vision to cut down to Omega’s spark. Superman grabs a hold of the giant Autobot’s spark and rips it out. The large transformer stumbles and falls to one knee for a moment, before finally falling down and dying. Optimus Prime soon arrives as he barrels down the street towards the Commandos biggest threat, the seven-headed serpent being, Set. Optimus transforms and immediately begins blasting at Set. His passengers all rush out, only to find themselves being charged at by Alexander the Great atop of his mighty steed, Bucephalus, along with Psylocke, Usagi Yojimbo, Captain N, and Link. Before they can even get a shot off, Pvt. Frost, Pvt. Crowe and Corp. Dietrich are taken down by Link and Captain N. Psylocke flips and leaps over PFC Hudson’s shots and slices him in half with her katana. She is then knocked to the ground by Alice Cullen. The vampire grabs a hold of Psylocke by her neck and picks her up off the ground. She begins to squeeze and crush the mutant’s throat, but Psylocke drives her psychic knife into Alice’s head. This move causes Alice to release her grip and gives Psylocke the opportunity to cut Alice down. Alexander the Great rides by and kills Mrs. Doubtfire and Bishop 341-BL. PFC Vasquez and Pvt. Drake team up and mow down Captain N and Link before they clip Bucephalus, which causes Alexander the Great to be thrown from his horse. PFC Spunkmeyer then seizes this opportunity and runs up and shoots Alexander several times in the back before he can get to his feet. Usagi Yojimbo then flips over Spunkmeyer and drives his katana deep into his belly and sends him to the FFL Graveyard.

Reinforcements arrive for the Colonial Marines in the form of General Grievous as he cuts down Psylocke and Usagi Yojimbo with his lightsabers. He is joined by the Mandalorian Armor wearing Bryan Beckerman. However, Adam Warlock and Superboy show up shortly after those two. Adam Warlock blasts away Rick Deckard, Corp. Hicks and Pvt. Drake. Grievous wastes no time in attacking Superboy, who was definitely taken by surprise by his ferocity. Ripley tries to keep Adam Warlock at bay with her flamethrower, but the one once known as Him, fights back and kills the Warrant Officer. “Damn it! I’m out of ammo!” yells Vasquez. Beckerman then flips his blue lightsaber to her as the two of them attack Adam Warlock. The two try their damndest, but are both injured by Adam’s cosmic blasts. They both crawl their way over to a parked car for cover. “This is it for me Becks. I die here, I’m done for,” Vasquez says to her teammate. “Well then, let’s make it count,” Bryan replies. He then pulls out a thermal detonator out of one of his belt pockets. “You always were an a$$#*@! Beckerman,” she says back to him. Adam Warlock then lands in front of them just as they both press the button on the thermal detonator, thus blowing up all three of them.

Grievous is still viciously attacking Superboy, which is not allowing Connor to mount an offensive. Superboy finally manages to use his speed and get behind the cyborg, but is surprised by Grievous rotating his arms fully around and driving his two lightsaber into Superboy’s shoulders. Connor’s lets out a scream as Grievous turns the blades. He then grabs a third lightsaber with one of his feet and plunges it into Superboy’s abdomen. General Grievous begins to laugh at his conquest, but this joy is slightly premature. In Superboy’s final breath, he fires his heat vision directly into the eyes of Grievous, frying him from then inside out and ending his FFL career.

Dawn is approaching as Ganthet leads and entire emotional spectrum team (a.k.a. “The Rainbow Warriors”) against Black Lantern Optimus Prime. “We will need all of our powers and work together if we are to finally stop Black Lantern Optimus,” Ganthet says as they fly in.

The team attacks BL Optimus fluidly, but Prime will not fall. Tri-Eye is the first to cause damage as he savagely slashes at Prime’s side. Ganthet then lets BL Optimus have it with a massive blast of green energy, coupled with his own incredible cosmic powers. “NOW! Everyone all at once!” Ganthet yells as he has BL Optimus staggering. The rest of them join in and begin to blast him with their rings. It’s beginning to work, but BL Optimus isn’t done quite yet. He grabs a hold of Indigo Lantern #2 and crushes him. He then smashes the Star Sapphire wielding Might Mousette between him hand in a massive clap that shatters nearby windows. The Black Lantern though, finally succumbs to their continued attack.

Meanwhile, out by the ocean, Zombie Maxima and Mary Marvel are trying to take down Gamera. The giant turtle is having a hard time catching these two as they are swiftly flying around him. He finally is able to kill Zombie Maxima with a plasma fireball. Mary Marvel tries in vain to injure him by calling down the Shazam lightning. “Looks like you could use a hand there Mary,” Earth Two Superman says as he flies in. “Let me give it a shot.” Earth Two Superman then uses his freeze breath on Gamera which freezes him solid. Then the two Commandos shatter the giant turtle with powerful punches to the shell. “Now let’s get back to the battle,” Earth Two Superman says. They fly in just in time to see Angel get incinerated by Set. They both fly right for Set, but Mary Marvel is met with a similar fate as Angel’s. Numinus then appears to battle Set. She is quickly wrapped up by several of the heads of the massive being. Numinus, however, fights back with her own vast cosmic abilities and her Blue Lantern ring. The two cosmic beings battle fiercely, as Numinus says “Enough. You’re path of destruction ends now!” She draws all of her powers from within her and lets out a blast that blinds everyone. Once the dust and smoke clears, there is nothing left of Set or Numinus.

Ben Kenobi looks up to the sky and says “Thank you Numinus, your final sacrifice will not be in vain. I will see you shortly, friend.” He then flies up into the air courtesy of his Green Lantern ring and goes right for the “Rainbow Warriors”. He draws his lightsaber and makes a quick impact by removing Ganthet’s head. Kenobi then uses the Force to knock Tri-Eye down to the ground. He makes sure he stays in close proximity of Blue Lantern #1 to keep his ring charged to 200% as he continues to attack. Bleez flies in and spews her red rage energy at the old Jedi master, but Ben puts up a green energy force field. He follows that up by swooping behind her and cuts her in half with his lightsaber. The Jedi lets out a horrific scream as Tri-Eye flies up from underneath Kenobi and chomps down on his left foot. He uses the Force to pry the Yellow Lantern off of him and blasts Tri-Eye with his Green Lantern ring right down his throat, killing him. This is the opening that Larfleeze has been anxiously waiting for. The Orange Lantern sneaks up behind the Jedi master and fries him with his Orange Lantern ring and sends Ben Kenobi to the FFL Graveyard.

Air Zonk, Power Dump and Astra have been hot on the tail of Spider-Man as he swings through what’s left of the buildings in the city. “Dang it, I can’t shake this kid and his friends,” Spidey says to himself. Spider-Man swings around a corner as the three are in close pursuit. But once they turn the corner, they all find themselves trapped in an enormous web Spidey has erected between two buildings. “They’re all yours Optimus!” Spidey shouts. Optimus Prime then blasts the spider web with his laser rifle, killing all three of them. “ARRRRGGGHHH!!!” screams Optimus as he drops to his knees. “Optimus?!?!?” Spider-Man shouts in confusion. Magneto then floats down in front of the Autobot leader. “It’s silly to think a team would dare start you Cybertronians against the Master of Magnetism,” Magneto arrogantly says to Optimus. “You son of a…” Spider-Man says as he swings in to aid his teammate, but Magneto uses Optimus Prime as a projectile and slams him into Spider-Man, killing both of them. “Why don’t you try that on me?!” exclaims Buffy Summers as she flies in a dropkicks Magneto. He launches pieces of the fallen Transformers at Buffy, knocking her to the ground. She kicks the large chunks of metal off of her and says “Heh, you’ll have to do better than that!” She then flies after him knocking the various pieces of metal Magneto is throwing at her. She tackles him to the ground, flips out her lightsaber and drives it into his heart. “That’s a stupid helmet you’ve got,” Buffy quips as she takes the lightsaber out of him.

Earth Two Superman then joins Buffy Summers, who informs him that they just lost Optimus Prime and Spider-man. “Well then, it looks like it’s just you and me then,” he replies. Sayd leads the attack with Katma Tui, Salaak, Larfleeze and Blue Lantern #1. Earth Two Superman flies in and rips Larfleeze in half like an unwanted credit card bill as Buffy slices three of Salaak’s arms off before doing the same to his head. Superman then levels Blue Lantern #1 with a punch that just caves her skull in. They are then both blasted to the ground by Katma Tui and Sayd. The Oa Guardian then pulls back and lets out a massive blast of cosmic energy right at Buffy Summers. “NOOO!!” yells Earth Two Superman as he leaps in front of the blast and taking it right on the “S.” He valiantly battles his way as he flies towards the short blue being. She continues to blast him with all she’s got, but Kal-L won’t stop fighting. Katma Tui and Buffy are stunned and in awe of this display of sheer willpower. Earth Two Superman finally gets close to Sayd and wraps her in a bear hug and begins to crush the life out of her. She looks up at him for a moment, then closes her eyes and lets out another blast of cosmic energy. This time, Kal-L falls from the sky, but so does Sayd. Both bodies slam to the ground below, lifeless. Buffy snaps out from being awestruck and leaps into action. She ignites her lightsaber and slices off Katma Tui ring-wielding hand before she can even react. Buffy then spins the lightsaber around in her hand and drives it into Katma Tui’s heart like a stake. She flies back down to Earth Two Superman and hold him in her arms as he takes his last breath.
